Top Eight Best No-Cook Breakfasts

I love summer not only because it’s warm and you can head outside any time without having to consider your coat, mitts, boots, scarf and any other outerwear; but also because there is such an abundance of colorful, flavorful and beautiful produce available.

Eating raw in the summer couldn’t be easier. Combine that with my favorite meal of the day–breakfast–and I am one very happy camper throughout the summer months. (Well, not literally. Forced to go camping, I wouldn’t actually be very happy at all).

But raw food doesn’t have to be restricted to salads and fruit-on-the-go! There are plenty of raw and no-cook options to start your day with maximum nutrition–while still ensuring minimal time in the kitchen.

When I’m in a hurry to get myself out into the gorgeous sunshine, I rely on one of the following meals to get me going. They’re all super-easy to make; and most are ready in ten minutes or less.

Here’s what I enjoyed for breakfast this morning, for instance: Raw Porridge with a Smattering of Blueberries.

Other Raw and No-Cook Favorites Include:

  • Cashew Bircher Muesli (couldn’t be easier: prep the night before, grab in the morning!).
  • Raw Pink Breakfast Bowl (the raw version of this recipe–and one of my very favorite bowls!)
  • High-Protein, No-Bake Breakfast (or Snacking) Orbsย  (good for Stage 1 of the ACD, too)
  • Carrot Cake Smoothie (use raw carrot for a quicker prep)
  • Earth Bowl Breakfast (plus bonus guffaws at what is just the second food photo I ever posted on this site! Still one of my favorite breakfasts, though. And if you’re wondering, this is the first photo).
  • No-Cook, Grain-Free, Allergy-Friendly Almost Instant Porridge (a great recipe from Andrea Nakayama)
  • Quick and Easy Raw Porridge Bowl (full of protein and healthy fats to start your day)
  • Apple Pie Smoothie (the taste of apple pie in a glass!)

      Thanks, Jo! I love oats in the cooler weather, but for some reason, they’re not a huge item on my summer list. But the overnight oats were lovely! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Our favourite quick no-cook breakfasts are smoothies with oats and chia seeds. I love your newspapers under your breakfasts – always interesting to see what you are reading about.

      Thanks, Johanna! I think adding oats to a smoothie is a perfect way to get the best of both worlds–winter and summer–in a summer smoothie! Thanks for the reminder. And I think I’ve mentioned the usefulness of those papers before (they hide the mess on my table very effectively). ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Great ideas Ricki. I don’t really have a go-to breakfast as I like to try new things all the time but no-cook favourites are smoothies (of course), chia pudding or overnight oats. I’ve also just discovered how much I love sprouted buckwheat and have just been throwing it in a bowl and adding some berries, almond milk and nuts/seeds/nut butter. Delish!
    Your snacking “orbs” have been on my “to try” list for far too long. Going to add them to my menu plan for this week! Thanks for the reminder.

      I’ve really come to love chia pudding this past year, too! So easy to mix it up and create variations. And I totally forgot about dehydrated/sprouted things–I’ll need to add those! Many of my favorite breakfasts are cooked (like this one), but of course, they’ll require their own roundup in the fall. ๐Ÿ˜‰
